18th Edition of IEE Regs

The 18th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations was published in January 2019 and came into force in January 2019. The 2382-15 3rd amendment is the direct replacement for the old 2382-12 course covering the 18th Edition in its entirety. This qualification ensures that you are up-to-date with the latest industry regulation on wiring and the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. These regulations are recognised by the British Standards Institute as a British Standard (BS7671). If you’re a practising electrician, you must comply with the regulations for electrical work. This qualification is designed to provide those seeking progression in their career with the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to carry out job roles and responsibilities associated with the Electrotechnical Industry.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements although candidates will require a basic knowledge of electrical installation and principles

Target audience

This course is primarily for practising electricians who are looking to update their IEE Wiring Regulations.

Individuals will be able to apply the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations in a safe and competent manner. This will allow 18th Edition endorsement to be listed on SJIB and JIB cards.
