Level 1 Award Health and Safety in the Construction Industry

This course will enable delegates to have a better appreciation of aspects of health and safety within the building and construction industry and prepares them for The CITB/SQA Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment tests of which there are four, at QCF level 1. The knowledge gained will delevelop their knowledge required to progress on to complete the assessment of the CSCS Health & Safety Test.

The course includes the following four main sections:

-Principles of Risk Assessment for Maintaining and Improving Health & Safety at Work

-Safe Manual Handling in the Workplace

-Working Safely at Height in the Workplace

-Risks to Health within a Construction Environment -Working Safely around Plant and Equipment

Contact Hugo Gallagher on 0141 423 6911 for entry requirements. The course is to prepare candidates for the CITB/ SQA Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment at QCF level 1 . This course and / or the test does not automatically get the candidate a CSCS Labourer Card. The candidate must also pass the CSCS HSE Labourers test in addition to this course and have had previous experience on a site to apply for CSCS Labourers Card.
